What I've learned in my Java class, so far:

javaKris = Kris - sanity

Grr.... I've wasted so much time on the homework for this stupid class. The textbook is long and convoluted, the learning curve for the homework is atrocious, and I keep wondering why I'm paying for a class where the extent of 'teaching' are a few PowerPoint slides reiterating point-for-point what's in the textbook without any further elaboration or examples. There were so many things I wanted to do today, like play with sculpey, Illustrator, finally finish up a house plan for [livejournal.com profile] cutefuzzykitty-- as it is I haven't even finished the homework assignment from last chapter, let alone finish reading this one!

*pout-pout-pout*

In other words, no news from either the Smithsonian or the NWF, so Best Buy gets to exploit me for at least a little longer as I continue my search for gainful employment. :P I think cloudy weather makes me cranky.

This is why I say that doing stuff is generally overrated. Hugs, don't die.

What drunkenness? I really was not undressing my husband for bed (and not in a a bawm chicka bawm bawm way) and helping him drink water like he was a 3 year old tonight!

Totally not! Although, truth be told, I think I'd take Shakespeare over Java. ;) I miss the interpretive/analytical aspect of writing. I *really* miss comparative literature.

Ooh! Sporky goodness! *trades all the saved-up black jelly beans for the jello and sporks*

Absolute Java-- by Savitch, I think? The one with the black panther on the front. I'unno-- I guess it's really not that bad. The chapters are just super-long and cover *so much* that everything just gets jumbled.

I no longer believe in the NWF. It is just an evil trick to make you believe they are out there with jobs while you never ever hear back from them (see previous comment: evil trick). They are really a bunch of mean fakers.

In other news.... you finished the plan??? Want a real one?
