The time has come to bid farewell to my beloved California plates, and to register Delilah officially to the land of cold... *sniffle!* But I'll be damned if I move her to VA without taking advantage of the super-low priced specialty license plates! The only downside is... I can't make a decision. n__n;; Soooo... what do you guys think?

Feb. 23rd, 2009 11:03 amI have a request for fellow victims of reading-by-flashlight-while-hiding-under-the-covers-so-your-parents-didn't-realize-you-were-up-waaaaaaaay-past-your-bedtime -- anyone have an optometrist that they really like? I'm hoping to find something more than a LensCrafters-type place, since I'm actually a little concerned at my degenerating night-sight and hope to document it / go to someone who knows what the heck they're doing.
In other news, tons of things have been happening, but I hardly have the time (other than work) in front of a computer to relay it all. Meep!

- What I create will be just for you.
- It'll be done this year.
- You have no clue what it's going to be. I may bake you something and mail it to you. I might stitch something. I might draw something. I might bash a few atoms at something.
The catch? Oh, the catch is that you have to put this in your journal as well, if you expect me to do something for you!

As a note, we'd love to see anybody at (nearly) any point this weekend, for whatever amount of time you feel like being here. Sadly, however, since our place is rather small and will be crowded with displaced furniture, boxes, cats, teddy bear collections, etc, we'll probably only have just enough room for working bodies--this is probably not a great time for observers and the generally curious to come by.nalroth and I will arrange some other, here-to-fore unspecified event so that everyone who wants to see our place, molest our kitties, jam on our plastic instrument-shaped controllers, or just hang out, can.

Following the theory "many hands make light work", and also realizing this would be an excellent excuse to splurge on pizza and fine beer (and/or cider), if anyone finds themselves suddenly afflicted with the burning desire to purge our house of "renter's beige" (and/or engage
nalroth and I in paint-roller fights), we would love any and all personages to our home! Drop a comment here or let nalroth and I know if and when you'd like to come. We'll be doing most of the prep-work and priming on Saturday and Sunday, with most of the actual painting occurring Monday. This is a general, "Hey, this is what's up", not an "OMG halp!!"-- any sudden fluctuation in our love for you is not in any way, shape, or form related to your presence this weekend. .. Did I mention the pizza and beer? Or cider? Or scotch? :)

The Plague
Nov. 13th, 2008 10:27 amUgh. I've had this craptastic bug since last Wednesday and, after a brief chat with the family doctor, it sounds like I have another 3-7 days to go. I just hope that this doesn't interfere with Kooza, and eventual plans to re-do my birthday. I'm especially glad that the only person near me when I was contagious was nalroth.
