How's Christmas in A.G.? Well, I've got a (new) 5th level Tauren Druid, and I've sent [livejournal.com profile] nalroth five million text-messages. ;) But it's good to be here for my family, and see my friends.

And I have discovered, without a doubt, that being 'home for Christmas' means being with [livejournal.com profile] nalroth.

I'd just like to say that Tauren Druids rock. In case you weren't sure yet.

Hee... They are rather neat, but I think my Troll Hunter will always be first in my heart. ;D

"The path of least resistance yields a crooked life..but intuitively, in our sinful nature, we do that: We don't like conflict, we don't like resistance; we like comfort. And so when we come to those hard places, which is often where the Lord wants us to be, we squirm out of that, and we back peddle and sidestep... and we get this crooked walk, because we're skirting around the issues. And brothers and sisters; we've got issues! We've got more issues than a magazine stand; we've got issues for days!... The Lord wants to deal with those, and that's where the rubber meets the road, so to speak. That's where faith becomes real; it is when we obey in spite of the consequences....But the greatest consequence, or the greatest yield of that, is that they found themselves smack-dab within the will of God. And that's how you find yourself within the will of God, is by obeying God.

"We make it so complicated; we want to divine it some way, and 'Oh, what's the will of God? How do I discover it? I don't know, maybe something weird or strange, someone tell me, oh..' Listen, obey the Lord, and you will find yourself in the will of God. It's that simple; obey Him in the little things and in the big things; in the seasons of life, and in the moments of life. Disobey the Lord and you'll find yourself outside the will of God. It's really that simple. Now thankfully, God is bigger than our mistakes, amen? If you blow it, He'll take you back, He'll bring you back in, He'll get you back on track whenever you say 'help me'. He's good like that.

"The best way I've discovered, and what the Bible teaches, is to be within the will of God by obeying the word of God. And in Hebrews ch. 11, all those great stories of faith, all of those men and women, they're listed in the Hall of Faith because they did something as a result of and according to what they believed; and so their actions proved their faith... Our faith is to be living, is to be active; and that our faith without works is dead... It is to be active, to be an outflow of what we believe. Faith is the proper response to who God is and what He has done."

"Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. And that is what some of you were ["were", past-tense]. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God."–I Cor 6

"I wrote in my letter not to associate with sexually immoral people - not at all meaning the sexually immoral of this world, or the greedy and swindlers, or idolaters, since then you would need to go out of the world. But now I am writing to you not to associate with anyone who bears the name of brother if he is guilty of sexual immorality or greed, or is an idolater, reviler, drunkard, or swindler- not even to eat with such a one." –I Cor 5

Well, if I'm going to have a last letter, I figured it ought to be done with concern, and with truth. If we never see one another ever again, at least you know now why; not because of spite or because I hate you, but because it's simply what Jesus commands: Don't associate with anyone proclaiming Christ if they're living a sexually immoral life. And you are, Kris... it breaks my heart to even have to say that. And yet, it doesn't have to be that way. *He* is still there... and desires you to be reconciled to Him, to bring you to a truly living faith. Trust Him.

Remember when you were hesitant and afraid about going to Reality that one evening? And in the end, you grabbed me and said, "Don't ever let me do that again."? You can't live in fear and denial forever, Kris. More than Reality is calling you to enter in.

Erase this if you must; I'll understand. If ever you repent... well... I'll be here.

So long, my once-best friend.
